Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to lead
Lean Agile development teams supporting mission-critical technology projects for a U.S.
Government customer. The selected candidate will facilitate sprint planning, manage
backlog priorities, and ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality products in a fast-paced
environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong expertise in Agile methodologies, Jira
tooling, and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead Lean Agile development teams by generating and managing sprint plans.
• Facilitate daily scrum meetings to track progress and address impediments.
• Use Jira to manage backlogs, portfolios, products, and sprints effectively.
• Monitor the progress of multiple concurrent and high-visibility projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to estimate work scope and level of effort.
• Coordinate test resources and deployment schedules with relevant groups.
• Manage reporting systems to communicate system status and seek deployment
approvals.
• Translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences in briefings and reports.
• Convert customer requirements into system requirements, defining MVIs, features, and
user stories within Agile frameworks.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated experience leading Lean Agile development teams and sprint planning.
• Proven ability to run daily scrum meetings with cross-functional project teams.
• Strong proficiency with Jira for backlog and sprint management.
• Experience monitoring and reporting on multiple simultaneous projects and requirements.
• Ability to coordinate testing and deployment activities effectively.
• Skilled at tailoring technical communication for varied stakeholder audiences.
• Experience translating customer needs into Agile system requirements and user stories.

Education Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related
field.
• Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with Lean Agile methodologies as practiced by the customer.
• Familiarity with managing sprint burn-up charts, top line charts, and sprint goals.
• Knowledge of data repositories, segmentation services, and SecOps pipelines.
• Experience managing risk, identifying programmatic challenges, and developing mitigation strategies.
• Background in guiding projects through accreditation processes such as ICD-503 and achieving Authorization to Operate (ATO).
