Description:
The Senior Software Engineer is a member of the Software Engineering team in support of the Headquarters, U.S. Central Command J6 mission. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for full stack .NET development designing web infrastructure, development and maintenance of software applications, autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, web services, scripts, and utility programs. Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and provide technical expertise. Determines user needs, programming techniques and controls requirement, prepares operating instructions and user guide. Ensures development meets software standards and security compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Developing architectural design and development of web services and web-based applications, translating custom user requirements into high-performance solutions for different on-premises and cloud solutions.
• Provide software solutions and demonstrating quality and security in developing web applications using C# (.NET 8) and JavaScript.
• Display proficiency in troubleshooting infrastructure integration, active directory/ Azure AD authentication integration with IIS servers and ensuring IIS security compliance.
• Development and deployment of applications through CI/CD pipelines, leveraging cloud-based deployments to optimize performance and delivery.
• Create and troubleshoot stored procedures for SQL Server databases and Azure SQL, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Uphold adherence to governance and policy requirements to deliver secure and compliant software solutions.
• Perform critical troubleshooting of applications. Perform schedule operations and maintenance of web servers, troubleshoot service desk tickets and follow-up escalations necessary.
Requirements:
• Excellent in C# (.NET 6.0+) and JavaScript for creating web applications and web services.
• Possess extensive web development experience utilizing .NET, MVC, JSON, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS3 to create seamless user experiences.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience using cloud-based tools and scripts, embracing cloud technologies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL server development, stored procedures, and T-SQL to effectively manage data-driven applications.
• Some knowledge of Azure services.
• Exhibit understanding of OAuth authorization services in ASP.Net Core, ensuring robust security protocols.
• Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adeptly conveying technical concepts to stakeholders to define system requirements.
• Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures is beneficial.
• Posses a Secret Clearance or higher.
• Ability to work on-site in a secured site in Tampa, FL.
