š§ Electrical Engineer Level 3 - Avionics & Systems Integration
š Location: Onsite in St. Louis, MO or Daytona Beach, FL (5 days/week)
š Contract: 6 Months (Potential Extension)
š Clearance: Not required to start ā Ability to obtain post-start
Weāre hiring a Level 3 Electrical Engineer to join a high-impact program supporting the MQ-25 and other future aviation platforms. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on lab environment and have avionics or system integration experienceāthis role is for you.
Youāll be part of a team responsible for developing and supporting the Central Maintenance Computing System (CMCS)āa system of systems designed to interpret onboard data and identify aircraft maintenance needs. This position requires solid electrical design skills and comfort working across system-level components, communications protocols, and platform integration.
š What Youāll Be Doing:
Support design and integration of complex avionics systems with ~5 interconnected subsystems.
Perform on-platform wiring and hardware support.
Develop product and procurement specifications.
Use Teamcenter and NX/Unigraphics for design and configuration management.
Interface with CAMEO for extracting system requirements.
Track progress and tasks via Jira.
Communicate effectively with suppliers to define clear requirements.
Support hardware qualification efforts (black box experience helpful).
ā Required Qualifications:
Bachelorās in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
3+ years of relevant experience (or 1+ years with a Masterās degree).
Strong experience or working knowledge of avionics systems and electrical integration.
Familiarity with:
⢠RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, MIL-STD-1553
⢠Military standards like MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-1472
Comfortable working onsite in a cross-functional lab environment (hardware, test, software).
Ability to ramp up quickly on a fast-moving, backlog-heavy project.
š” Nice to Have:
Background with Raytheon, Honeywell, Collins, or similar defense/aerospace environments.
Hands-on experience with avionics hardware qualification and system-level testing.
Strong supplier management and systems engineering background.
Familiarity with flight hardware or aircraft modification programs.
