PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) works in support of the Department of State to provide medical support services. The primary scope of this program is to execute medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.

The Logistics Specialist analyzes, participates in development, and implements logistics plans affecting the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Specialist analyzes, participates in development, and implements logistics plans affecting the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes and implements logistics plans that may affect the production, distribution, and inventory or finished products in order to enhance product flow.
- Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.
- Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports.
- Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers.
- Provides activity and status reports to management.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration or related field and 2 years of experience.
- In lieu of formal education, at least 10 years of progressive experience in a related field.
- 4 years of specialized military experience in the relative field can be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
- Specific contract requirements will prevail.
- Must be medically fit and willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- Candidates must also meet CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.
- Must currently possess or be able to obtain prior to being hired as is required for this position a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance and/or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT). Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance or certification level for the duration of the task order.
