OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking applicants for multiple Help Desk Support Services Specialist to support our Army customer on Redstone Arsenal.
Job Responsibilities include: Under general supervision, provides second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware. Handles problems that the first-tier of help desk support is unable to resolve. May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem. Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems. Maintains currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise. Escalates more complex problems to Senior Level..
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with 1+ year of Help Desk type experience.
Total Experience: Will need Bachelors with 5+ years' job experience OR Associate's Degree with 7+ years' job experience. This total experience can be ANY type of paid work experience.
General knowledge of mainframe application and hardware.
Customer Service.
Troubleshooting.
Preferred:
Experience managing to and meeting delivery deadlines in a government contracting environment.
Experience with multimedia design (PowerPoint, Visio).
Required Education: A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM, computer science, or computer engineering, etc.) is preferred.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired, and preference will be given to those that possess and active DoD clearance.
