As an Electronic Systems Section Leader, you will oversee Field Engineering team members deployed both CONUS (Domestic) and OCONUS (International), who work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to field, support test next generation EW and electronic systems. Field Service Engineers deliver innovative Electronic Warfare (EW) solutions, individual technical contributions on a related range of Programs will include cradle to sunset system support, requirements development, integration & test, and test planning and execution in a field deployment environment. We are looking for a motivated and positive minded Field Engineering Section Manager/People Leader to join our cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team.

Key Field Engineering Section Manager skills, roles, strengths, expertise and objectives are to:
  • Lead and manage a diverse deployed Field Engineering team to meet program and business objectives/goals
  • Staff, recruit, retain, train, recognize, develop, and assign team members as appropriate to meet business area needs
  • Provide Systems/Field Engineering Leadership to Sustain and grow the business by providing significant discriminators in product service and support.
  • Identify and develop new logistics and support processes by positively influencing methodologies across our product lines, with an emphasis on cost reduction, improved product reliability and enhanced customer focus.
  • Provide guidance, support, promote and implement key performance management initiatives including, goal setting, mid-year and annual-review process, promotions, performance plans and organizational changes.
  • Schedule and facilitate Staff and employee Site Visits (travel both CONUS/OCONUS)
  • Directly interface with SHE, Security, Inc , Finance, HR, Travel Representatives in support of the Field Engineering Enterprise
  • Ensuring field representatives adhere to BAE Systems' cultural principals, policies, and vision
  • Provide technical support to programs through proposal and cost estimation development/reviews, participation in audits, and other functional areas initiatives
  • Develop a strategy to support business area growth that includes your recommendations
  • Incorporate industry best practices and new tools and technologies to enhance field effectiveness.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and Minimum 10 years of leadership experience and capabilities relevant to engineering services
  • Active DoD Security clearance
  • Functional Management Leadership experience (i.e. performance management, hiring, mentoring, etc
  • Experience interfacing and presenting material to senior division and program leadership and other government officials
  • Experience with influencing and implementing corporate and business changes to a diverse and geographically separated team
  • Experience supporting Con Ops development, Cost Account Management, engineering initiatives and agile process application
  • Is collaborative and a team player and is able to work with a high degree of independence
  • Is a creative problem solver; formulates recommendations using data to clearly demonstrate the value of the solution
  • Is results oriented; delivers results under difficult conditions and demonstrates balanced judgment under pressure; drives ideas
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation/communication skills
  • Operate with a high degree of integrity in dealing with sensitive information
  • Possess proven coaching and mentoring skills
  • Proven experience with analyzing business process or SOP documentation to identify areas of improvement and efficiency

Active DoD Top Secret security clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
