Azure Cloud Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Azure Cloud Engineer to support an intel program focused on supporting embedded software . This position will be fully remote. Responsibilities of the Azure Cloud Engineer include:

• Design, deploy, and manage secure, resilient Azure Cloud environments to support efficient feature delivery.
• Maintain infrastructure using IaC and SRE principles.
• Provision and manage Azure VMs for diverse applications and user needs.
• Deploy updates with minimal downtime and user impact.
• Provide timely support for VDI issues, including performance and connectivity.
• Ensure excellent user experience through effective communication and support.
• Enforce compliance with strict security protocols in classified environments.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Implement observability and resilience in multi-cloud Dev/Test/Prod setups.
• Support security policy implementation and governance.

Qualifications for the Azure Cloud Engineer include:

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant professional experience
• Active Secret clearance is Required.
• Current Security+ certification (or higher IAM/IAT level)
• Active OS-level certification (e.g., Azure, AWS, Microsoft, Linux)
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
• Hands-on experience with:
• Azure Cloud administration and Azure Virtual Desktop
• Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
• Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible)
• Windows and Linux environments
• Skilled in gathering and analyzing business requirements through direct customer engagement

Compensation for the Azure Cloud Engineer include:

• $100,000-$120,000 **depending on experience**
