Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Task Order Project Manage r to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Task Order Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex task orders for federal customers. Acting as the central point of contact, you will coordinate closely with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), task-order-level managers, and customer agency stakeholders. Your mandate is to ensure technical solutions and schedules are implemented on time and within scope, while proactively managing risk, budget, and stakeholder expectations.

Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Task Order Project Manage r to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Task Order Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex task orders for federal customers. Your mandate is to ensure technical solutions and schedules are implemented on time and within scope, while proactively managing risk, budget, and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day activities for assigned task orders, aligning resources and schedules to meet all contractual milestones.
- Track performance metrics, prepare status reports, and drive issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and cybersecurity directives.
- Serve as primary liaison among KO, COR, government management personnel, and contractor teams.
- Facilitate regular touchpoints, executive briefings, and ad-hoc reviews.
- Capture evolving requirements and coordinate change-request impacts with the Program Manager.
- Apply five years of contingency contracting/tool experience to anticipate disruptions and produce mitigation plans.
- Maintain risk registers, conduct impact assessments, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor task-order budgets, burn rates, and forecasts; provide early-warning for variances.
- Coordinate staffing plans, onboarding, and performance reviews in collaboration with HR and Program Manager.
- Develop and maintain project artifacts (Integrated Master Schedule, work plans, action logs).
- Produce executive-level presentations and status dashboards using MS Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA). Four (4) additional years of directly related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) or other nationally recognized equivalent.
- 5 years project-management experience with progressively higher responsibility in IT and/or consulting.
- 5 years leadership experience in IT and/or consulting, managing cross-functional teams.
- 5 years contingency contracting experience or direct use/management of contingency tools (e.g., JOCAS, ACES-FO, COR/TOPS).
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project) plus strong analytical skills with Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and Access.
