The Opportunity

We ' re seeking a Satellite Communications Technician to support and maintain DoD and commercial SATCOM systems, including modems, baseband gear, and backup power systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate / Maintain various DoD and commercial satellite communications systems , modems and baseband equipment

• Perform preventive maintenance on electronic equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair communications system faults.

• Prepare written reports as required.

• Utilize electronic test equipment to troubleshoot serial and IP circuits.

• Operate power backup systems including diesel generators and UPS

• Escort visitors as required.

• Perform duties while standing and walking for extended periods.

• Climb and work safely at various heights on antenna structures.

• Operate effectively in outdoor environments, including inclement weather and confined spaces.

• Lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as required.
