Mayvin is seeking a Senior Acquisition SME (Robotics) to provide expert-level acquisition support for advanced robotics and autonomous systems programs. This role is embedded within a dynamic Assistant Program Manager (APM) team supporting USSOCOM at Ft. Belvoir, VA. The Principal Acquisition SME will serve as a key acquisition advisor and technical integrator to enable rapid and effective development, testing, and fielding of cutting-edge robotic platforms and systems for national defense.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and refine acquisition strategies and documentation across the program lifecycle including: Statement of Work (SOW), Statement of Objectives (SOO), and Performance Work Statements (PWS), Acquisition Program Baseline (APB), Single Acquisition Management Plan (SAMP), and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Contractor Data Requirements List (CDRL), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), and Fielding & Deployment Release (F&DR)
- Translate technical requirements from engineering and operational teams into clear, concise, and actionable acquisition documentation
- Provide programmatic directions to technical personnel to ensure adherence to functional design specifications and program requirements
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and/or Quality Assurance Manager to ensure adequate design specifications and associated documentation and problem resolution for problem reports
- Lead and support technical evaluations of contractor proposals with focus on cost, schedule, risk, and performance, coordinating with subject matter experts as required
- Develop and present acquisition documentation, milestone briefings, and formal memoranda to senior stakeholders
- Guide Test & Evaluation (T&E) planning and execution, including Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), and Limited User Tests (LUTs)
- Manage and maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders, industry partners, supporting agencies and contracting offices throughout the acquisition process, including tracking action items and ensuring timely follow-up through task completion
Required Qualifications:
- 12 years of DoD acquisition experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD 5000 series acquisition policy
- Experience with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and SOFCIDS
- DAWIA Level II or Practitioner in Program Management, Test & Evaluation, or Contracting (or PMP)
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, systems management, or related technical discipline (e.g., science, mathematics)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in or supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) - understanding of SOF organizational structures, missions and culture
- Experience with DoD PPBE process and rapid prototyping pathways under DoDI 5000.87 (Middle Tier Acquisition)Advanced degree in Program Management, Business, Robotics, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in Robotics, Autonomy, or Unmanned Systems (UGV, UAS, UxS)
- Demonstrated expertise in Test and Evaluation (T&E) of complex systems
