Position : Business Analyst
Position Summary:
BuddoBot is looking for a Business Analyst to provide support to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) - Enterprise Architecture (EA) division.
This role supports the EA program's goal to create an integrated and comprehensive enterprise architecture program and management processes. The Business Analyst will help mature EA Support Services by applying HUD's Architect, Invest, and Implement approach to ensure mission success across HUD business areas, including aligning HUD's IT resources with strategic business objectives effectively and efficiently.
The Business Analyst will work across strategy, planning, and engineering to give HUD OCIO a holistic view of the IT portfolio through multiple perspectives, including acquisition, project management, technology, and cybersecurity.
The role involves applying process improvement methodologies, reengineering principles, and internet-related concepts to modernize business processes. The ideal candidate will serve as a key coordinator between customers and multiple project teams, ensuring the enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts and the adoption of best practices in business modernization.
ClearanceEligibility: Ability to obtain a Public Trust Level 5
Salary: The salary offered will depend on education, certifications, length and relevance of work history, and professional experience.

Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Business, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a similar discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
In lieu of 7 years experience, the Business Analyst may have a master's degree with a minimum of 4 years experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead process improvement, process design, and process modeling activities using the Business Process and Model Notation (BPMN) standard.
- Develop BPMN diagrams using graphical modeling tools such as Sparx EA and Microsoft (MS) Visio.
- Develop actionable templates for business artifacts needed to support improved customer and internal processes.
- Identify implied requirements, tasks, and dependencies based on project needs.
- Analyze customer business needs and gather requirements to support the acquisition of IT systems that effectively address those needs.
- Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer.
- Conduct independent research in support of business need analysis and process improvement. Analyze research results and draw logical inferences on how the information can be applied to assist the customer.
- Author whitepapers offering recommendations, insights, lessons learned, and analytical conclusions.
- Research, develop, and adapt new analytical frameworks based on customer needs.
- Coach and train junior business analysts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
- Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible.
- Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages.
- Occasional movement of small articles up to 10 lbs.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Continually operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Occasionally required to move oneself in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
