Description:
The Senior Software Engineer shall work with the Government lead supporting the SecD Development Portfolio (SDP) consisting of three applications and a team of ten staff. You’ll be supporting the life of the contract on the Enterprise Applications and Database Services Section (EADSS) program that plays a crucial role in enhancing the FBI's capabilities in data management, workflow automation, and actionable intelligence analysis which directly affects internal FBI employees and individuals out in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic solutions.
• Perform software development, database development, O&M support, and customer/user engagement.
• Provide development and O&M support for production Java applications with an Oracle backend and Tomcat/JBoss application server during core working hours and non-core working hours as needed to meet mission needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong development experience (10+ years) required in the following technologies/areas: Java 8 (J2EE development), React, Spring Framework 5+, Spring Boot 2, JavaScript/AJAX, Hibernate 5+, SQL/RDBMS (Oracle and PostgreSQL), RESTful Web Services, Apache Tomcat, Red Hat JBoss, Linux (RHEL, CentOS), Eclipse IDE, Maven build tool, and Git.
• Strong experience required (10+ years) in Database Development, SQL/RDBMS (Oracle and PostgreSQL).
• Strong experience required (10+ years) in User Interface (UI) development skills using JavaScript application development.
• 10 years of experience with programming and software development including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and/or upgrading of software systems.
• 10 years of experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications while maintaining 24/7 availability.
• 5 years of experience required in AWS (Console, RDS, S3, EBS, AMIs, IaaS).
• 5 years of experience required in AWS Agile and Scrum and Kanban frameworks/methodologies.
• 5 years of experience required in Atlassian tools to include Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and automation.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative to help the team grow.
Preferred Qualifications:
• TS with SCI eligibility with willingness to get a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph clearance while on contract.
• 8+ years of Java Development - design, development, implementation and testing
• 5+ years in Spring Framework - Spring Boot - RESTful Web Services
• Experience working in an AWS environment
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in a IT related field
Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
• This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret)
• Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required
Salary Range: $155,000.00 to $195,000.00 annually
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, TEKsystems considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
