Program Summary
KBR's Aviation & Ground Systems Directorate provides Systems Engineering & Integration support to the Army's Aviation and Ground soldiers with project based and full-time personnel support services. KBR sets the standard with a wide range of services including Government Engineering, Logistics, Business, and International focuses, while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellence in contract deliverables.
Job Summary
Join and lead a diverse team of talented and inspired Project Leads, Engineers and Analysts to support the Government in developing Army Aviation programs in Huntsville, Alabama. To keep pace with emerging technologies and to ensure the Warfighter remains capable against modern aerial threats, Project Lead role will consist of leading technical programs involving the complete lifecycle of a Department of Defense program from concept development through design and fielding. The position requires well-rounded and in-depth technical knowledge. Project Leads address all aspects of cost, schedule, and execution of manufacturing orders (as applicable) for their assigned project (s). Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in work performance is required. Candidates should have experience with systems engineering, the AS9100/ISO9001 quality system, and Government customer interactions. Some travel for meetings and test events will be required.
Relocation: Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or able to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Receive and interpret Statements of Work (SOW) from USG customers
- Communicate daily with USG customers
- Host/Participate in various customer/vendor meetings in support of assigned projects
- Providing input (as required) for vendors related SOW's
- Delegate SOW tasks to appropriate KBR departments (engineering, procurement, manufacturing)
- Build Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing in response to USG SOW
- Build Bill of Materials (BOM) within Costpoint to support procurement
- Create and maintain Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to support assigned project (s)
- Track project materials throughout the procurement cycle in order to maintain IMS objectives
- Track engineering progress throughout design phase in order to maintain the IMS objectives
- Issue Manufacturing Orders via Costpoint and track manufacturing progress to ensure IMS alignment
- Maintain oversight of procurement activities in support of assigned projects
- Issue/release final product to customer via Costpoint (DD-1149)
- Perform on-site support for aircraft integration activities (CONUS and OCONUS), which shall include serving as technical POC as well as assisting in installation (as required).
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor Degree in engineering, science, business administration or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience DoD Aviation at the component through system level
- 5+ years of proven technical management experience in DoD Aviation
- Candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of program planning and execution, systems engineering, design processes, weapon system integration, and quality systems
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution necessary to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations
- Utilize functional leadership experience to help deliver on critical programs
- Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
- Enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our Government customers
- 10+ years of experience DoD Aviation at the component through system level with emphasis on electrical/mechanical integration
- Familiarity with Costpoint Software
- Strong background in aviation maintenance and/or aviation quality assurance
- Program Management Certification (PMP)
