Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced Level Manufacturing Engineers to support multiple programs at the San Antonio, TX site. These programs includ e the KC-135 MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) program team.

In this role, you will be responsible for researching existing tooling availability, providing design input, developing and implementing fabrication plans, and maintaining solutions that support aircraft sustainment and repair operations. You will collaborate closely with production teams, mechanics, and cross-functional engineering groups to ensure that current, existing and manufacturing solutions optimize safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in the MRO environment.

While your primary focus will be on the KC-135 platform, you may also have opportunities to similarly contribute to projects for other aerospace programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in design, manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with standardized procedures and best practices, along wi th demonstrated ability to apply lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies in a production setting.

Position Responsibilities (Level Dependent):
  • Researches existing tooling and production solutions and determines current inventory across the production system.
  • Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects of modifications on product engineering design and rate estimates.
  • Verifies contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problem.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and may be requested to support other programs as needed.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of science from an accredited course of study, in engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing engineering, or production support.
  • Understanding of aerospace MRO operations, including tooling for structural repairs and modifications.
  • Expertise in reading, interpreting, and enforcing standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawing and process procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical solutions in a production environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and variation reduction in tooling applications.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education.
  • Experience managing full lifecycle development of production processes for aerospace applications.
  • Proficiency with CATIA, NX, or other CAD modeling software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for tooling applications, including assembly, usage and manufacturing.
  • Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement for projects.
  • Understanding of ergonomic and safety considerations in production, design and manufacturing.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Associate-Level Summary pay range: $75,650 - $102,350

Experienced-Level Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900
