The Work

Here at Lockheed Martin, we are working on many exciting programs and developing cutting edge products and applications to meet the complex and evolving needs of our customers. We are looking for talented engineers to join our team, working with other engineering disciplines to help develop many best-in-class products and solutions.

As a key member of our Software Engineering team, you will:
• Research and develop advanced modeling and simulation software,
• Participate in 3D simulation,
• Develop simulations (vehicles, AI-based behavior, physics-based models),
• Collaborate with teams on projects,
• Explore emerging technologies (augmented reality, virtual worlds, gaming and enhanced graphics)

Note: This position requires on-site presence in the Andover, MA office to meet client needs.

This position will require the selected candidate to have or the ability to obtain an Secret level U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or in math, physics or engineering
• 2 or more years of programming experience in C++ or C or JavaScript
• Experience with growth of functions, memory models, 3D math (vectors and volumes)
• Experience with git and GitLab and VScode
Desired Skills:
• Master's degree in computer science, or in math, physics or engineering
• Experience with OpenGL
• Prior research experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
