Engineering Technician (F3009 2025-23300)
Bowhead is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician for PCB fabrication at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division. The engineering technician performs non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for the planning, conducting and completion of fabrication projects of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. The technician is familiar with manufacturing and fabrication processes and has experience using CNC equipment.

The engineering technician performs non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for the planning, conducting and completion of fabrication projects of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. The technician is familiar with manufacturing and fabrication processes and has experience using CNC equipment.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
- Constructing and packaging devices according to specific layouts and diagrams provided.
- Conducting various tests on machines and parts as well as measuring, preparing, operating and recording test data.
- Creating presentations of data from field notes, manuals, lab reports and ensuring errors are identified and feasible recommendations are presented.
- Assisting in PCB design modification after failures and modifications are identified and addressed.
- Provide technician level support for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication and assembly related efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electro Mechanical studies preferred. Relevant combined education and experience in manufacturing and fabrication can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- DoD experience preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Soldering experience is not required but beneficial.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
