Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to join a Federal Program in Hazelwood, MO . The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and support of complex electronic and electrical systems.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Systems Engineer include:
· Collaborate with customers to define, refine, and document detailed system requirements.
· Translate system requirements into comprehensive hardware, software, and integrated system designs.
· Perform integration and validation testing to ensure systems meet performance and functional expectations.
· Coordinate with suppliers to track performance, ensure compliance, and support seamless integration.
· Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance throughout the system lifecycle.
· Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential application in future systems.
Qualifications for the Electrical Systems Engineer include:
· Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
· Hands-on experience with:
o System requirements analysis and system design
o Communication protocols such as RS422 and MIL-STD-1553
o Military standards, including MIL-STD-810
o CAD tools and interpreting electrical schematics
o Project management platforms like JIRA
· Knowledge of cybersecurity principles or certifications such as CompTIA Security+
· Experience in network architecture and design
· Familiarity with systems engineering tools like DOORS or CAMEO
· Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices
· Background in aerospace or defense systems, including air vehicles or weapons systems
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Compensation for the Electrical Systems Engineer includes:
· Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 depending on experience
