Job Description
BAE Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst, on the Data Analysis, Products, and Services (DAPS) team.
The Data Analyst develops and develops and delivers process functions and data analytics, to support the F-35 Prognostics Health Management (PHM) Platform. This capability aids customers in understanding software anomalies and provides machine-based decision support driving field maintenance actions and supply chain logistics. The applicant must have an acumen for problem solving and possess the ability to analyze and deliver findings to support internal and external customer needs. Must possess organizational skills to prepare and present findings to the broader team.
The Data Analyst responsibilities include:
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related field, and four years of professional work experience.
6+ years' experience in data analytics
Experience using SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Postgress
Experience developing and delivering briefings and reports to internal and external customers and management
Knowledge of large database structure
Experience Cleaning and preparing data, analyses and exploration, data visualization using tools like Excel, Tableau or Power BI.
Understanding of foundational statistics concepts.
understanding of prognostic health management.
Willingness to learn proprietary coding languages.
Knowledge of Data Analytics / Data Science techniques as applied to large, imperfect datasets.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with general guidance from technical manager.
Skilled at communicating ideas to a diverse group of technical and non-technical peers
The ability to read technical documents and explain the concepts to a non-technical audience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Proven communication experience across diverse teams at multiple locations
Knowledge of F-35 fleet management and logistics
Knowledge of F-35 database structure 5 FAST, FRACAS, ALIS,
Experience with the application of the Agile workflow methodologies
Experience with the Atlassian toolset (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
