Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

OPS Consulting is seeking a Linux Engineer to work in Laurel, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analyzing, designing and executing the requirements of the Linux Solution to include Red Hat and Rocky Linux in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems
- Analytically and systematically evaluates problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action
- Responsible for the system requirements, interface definitions (internal as well as external)
- Manages team's full life cycle system implementation efforts
- Subject matter in one or more Linux Technologies to include integration points and adjacent technologies
- Provide reach back to Red Hat and /or CIQ rocky Linus engineering in order to obtain and/or request hotfixes, future enhancements, or product road map visibility
- Must be knowledge of the following: Red Hat Linux, Rocky Linux, Ansible, Network Automation, System Automation Linux scripting
Required Skills:
- Experience developing technical plans for complex capability development
- Demonstrated expertise in test plans, procedures, and test result analysis
- Experience writing, reviewing, and presenting technical documentation at the program level
- Experience with system design and requirements management
- Experience overseeing technical reviews
Level 1:
- Minimum of seven 7 years of relevant SE experience.
- BS in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Level 2:
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant SE experience.
- BS in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Level 3:
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant SE experience.
- BS in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Security Clearance:
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
