Description
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Network Engineer for a strategic High-Performance Computing (HPC) program. The Senior Network Engineer will need to be a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to work within a team to mature the HPC capabilities of our customer.

Pay Range: Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Network Engineer for a strategic High-Performance Computing (HPC) program. The Senior Network Engineer will need to be a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to work within a team to mature the HPC capabilities of our customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides Network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls.
- Installation, configuration, and support of:
- Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP OpenView, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, InfiniBand, Juniper, Fiber Channel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
- Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols
- Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite
- Able to support on-call requirements.
- Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking.
- Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Candidates shall have at least twelve (12) years of experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection with a bachelor’s degree, or ten (10) years of experience with a master’s degree.
- Candidate must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
- IAT Level 2 Certification is required.
