We are seeking a self-directed and motivated individual to join our team as a DevOps Engineer in support of a Dept. of Defense program. In this role, you will provide with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using a pipeline to automatically take committed code, run it through tests, and optionally, deploy that code into production. This is a prime opportunity to add to your DevOps tech stack while supporting U.S. Space Force.

We are seeking a self-directed and motivated individual to join our team as a DevOps Engineer in support of a Dept. of Defense program. In this role, you will provide with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using a pipeline to automatically take committed code, run it through tests, and optionally, deploy that code into production. Responsibilities
- Work directly with the DevOps team and Integration Test Engineers to ensure system integrity.
- Design, develop, test and debug new features or enhancements to existing services.
- Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management.
- Build and test automation tools for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve DevOps environment.
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
- Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
- Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
- Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.
- Manage CI and CD tools with team in an Agile environment.
- Employ best industry practices.
Required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen AND possess an active U.S. Dept. of Defense Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of experience with DevOps and software testing.
- Experience with full lifecycle of software systems including development, testing and deployment.
- Experience with Ansible in production environments.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Hands-on experience with building and managing release systems, code merging and promotion, and CI/CD workflows and tools.
- Experience working with and delivering using Agile practices.
- General virtualization/containerization experience, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed team.
Preferred
- Active U.S. Dept. of Defense TS/SCI security clearance.
- Python scripting experience.
- General networking experience.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, especially AWS.
- Experience with Platform as a Service (PAAS).
- Experience with revision control source code repositories such as GitLab, SVN, Mercurial, and Perforce.
