We are seeking a skilled EMI Test and Integration Technician to support engineering development, system integration, verification testing, and transition to production for complex and safety-critical electronic modules. The ideal candidate will join a multidisciplinary engineering team and contribute their technical expertise in Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) design and testing to ensure performance compliance and system reliability in demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Support engineering development teams in EMI-related design, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
Perform EMI test setups and execute test procedures on complex electronic systems and components.
Operate and maintain EMI test equipment per approved test plans and procedures.
Participate in EMI test reviews, document test activities, and support data analysis and reporting.
Assemble and disassemble EMI test setups including cables, interfaces, and environmental controls.
Maintain detailed test documentation including EMI test logs, data sheets, notebooks, and checklists.
Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and test engineering teams to support development and production transition.
Ensure compliance with standards such as MIL-STD-461 (A through G) and RTCA/DO-160 (C through G).
Apply strong RF principles to identify and mitigate interference issues during product design and validation phases.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent military training in electronics/EMI discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in EMI testing and RF-related electronics.
Demonstrated expertise in EMI/EMC testing practices and familiarity with industry and military test standards.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret and apply test plans, schematics, and technical documentation.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
Ability to work independently, apply sound judgment in technical decisions, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in safety-critical or aerospace/defense systems.
Familiarity with EMI test chambers, antennas, LISNs, and spectrum analyzers.
Prior experience supporting product qualification and transition to manufacturing environments.
