We are seeking a skilled Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) Engineer to support the design, integration, and testing of advanced electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EMI/EMC standards, RF principles, and hands-on experience with test equipment and procedures in accordance with military and aerospace requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform EMI/EMC testing in accordance with MIL-STD-461 (A–G) and RTCA/DO-160 (C–G) standards.
Participate in EMI-related design reviews and assist with design-for-compliance practices.
Support test planning, setup, execution, and reporting of EMI/EMC test results.
Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and part lists.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, manufacturing, test personnel, and customers.
Utilize mathematical modeling tools such as MATLAB, Mathcad, and PSpice for EMI simulations.
Operate and maintain EMI test equipment, including receivers, spectrum analyzers, amplifiers, antennas, and signal generators.
Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation, and assist with audits and certifications.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent military training and experience in EMI/EMC.
2+ years of job-related experience in EMI engineering or RF-related disciplines.
Proficient in EMI design and testing techniques and standards.
Strong understanding of RF principles and EMI fundamentals.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical documentation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project).
Experience with EMI-oriented tools such as MATLAB, Mathcad, and PSpice.
Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC test equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Boeing D6-16050-4 (A–F) standards.
Prior EMI/EMC design leadership or supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of TILE!™ software for EMI testing.
iNARTE EMI/EMC Certification.
Strong mathematical background and experience in analytical simulation.
