Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Responsibilities
- Provides technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems.
- Designs, develops and implements security requirements within an organization's business processes.
- Prepares documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines such as DITSCAP (DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process).
- Prepares Security Test and Evaluation plans.
- Provides certification and accreditation support in the development of security and contingency plans and conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
- Support the engineering aspects of defense acquisition projects, including requirements development, system design, integration, verification, and validation
- Contribute to the preparation and review of key acquisition documentation (e.g., SOWs, specifications, test plans, and technical reports)
- Assist in managing project schedules, technical risks, and resource allocation
- Participate in technical meetings, milestone reviews, and supplier/vendor engagements
- Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition policies, technical standards, and quality assurance processes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams consisting of engineers, scientists, program managers, and government customers
- Compile data, analyze problems, and recommend effective solutions to support decision-making
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity requirements and system resiliency measures, as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline (Master's preferred)
- 2-5 years of engineering experience in defense acquisition, systems engineering, or a related field
- Security + Certification Required, CSWF Certification is a plus
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle, policies, and standards (such as DoDI 5000 series)
- Hands-on experience with technical documentation, requirements management, and system integration
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Active or re-in statable SECRET security clearance
