Overview

Silotech Group delivers agile, secure, and mission-focused technology solutions to government and commercial clients. We specialize in cloud, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and enterprise systems that support national defense and critical infrastructure. As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will support the Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) Enterprise Service Center program in San Antonio. This role is vital in building and managing secure cloud infrastructure, deploying and maintaining automation pipelines, and ensuring mission-critical systems are delivered with scalability, resilience, and compliance.

Essential Role and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Manage deployments across unclassified, secret, and top-secret enclaves using secure cross-domain solutions
  • Collaborate with application developers and security engineers to integrate DevSecOps practices across environments
  • Monitor system health and performance, implementing logging, alerting, and cost-optimization strategies
  • Apply security controls and maintain compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and IAVA patching timelines
  • Troubleshoot issues with cloud-hosted applications and provide escalation support
  • Participate in agile development cycles and maintain documentation within government-approved repositories

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred (may substitute equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 10 years of IT systems administration experience across Windows and Linux platforms
• Proven experience deploying and managing workloads in AWS cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Amazon EKS), and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• Familiarity with secure DevSecOps in classified DoD environments

Certifications

• Required: IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security)
• At least one of the following AWS certifications or equivalent experience:
- AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional
- AWS SysOps Administrator - Associate
- AWS Cloud Practitioner - Foundational

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cross-domain tools (AWS Diode), automated STIG implementation, and mission assurance practices
• Expertise in tools such as Lambda, Docker, Helm, and Amazon EC2
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, secure, and agile government environments
