JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking a highly motivated and driven Software Engineer to work Onsite supporting enterprise IT for our War-fighter customer who upholds America's status as the "Land of the Free" every day, at work, or at play.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitors research, analysis, design, development, test, or manufacturing operations.
  • Provides oversight direction, management, and coordination of a significant technical effort.
  • Serves as a representative for NAVAIR, interfacing with headquarters, contractors, and other government activities involved in the program.
  • Furnishes technical advice and assistance to gov't leads. Reports on technical direction of the program, planning and scheduling work, reporting results, progress, schedule adherence and overall accomplishments of the work.
  • Reviews data, reports, studies, designs, design documentation, tests, or equipment to determine conformance with contract technical requirements.
  • Conducts technical reviews to determine the acceptability of changes to contract required services or equipment and/or determines the usability of items not meeting the requirements of the contract.
  • Furnishes advice to the government on technical matters.


REQUIREMENTS
  • 1+ years of experience in software engineering (C/C++/ C#, Java, Python) and development of software systems.
  • Experience in gathering and allocation of software requirements, design, software process management, open architecture principles, software integration, and testing.
  • Experience applying tools, such as but not limited to: Risk, Configuration, and Data Management, Trade-Off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Management and Reviews, Modeling & Simulation or Earned Value Management.
  • Knowledge of processes for software system design, test and interoperability, planning and management.
  • Knowledge of military avionics systems, components and software and related design attributes.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering procedures, processes, practices and tools as related to Avionics and Weapons systems and technology.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels within an organization, with effective interpersonal skills and an ability to resolve conflicting views and information.


PREFERRED CERTIFICATION(s)
  • DAWIA Level I or II


SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • Active Secret Security Clearance


EDUCATION
  • BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an Information Technology. Allowable Substitution: 6 years of related experience or 4 years of related experience with an AA/AS degree

COMPENSATION

The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually. This is not, however, a guarantee of total compensation or salary or any other compensation offered. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Rollout Systems offers a variety of benefits including health insurance with domestic partner coverage, company-funded health savings account and life and disability insurances, 401(k) matching, 401(k) profit-sharing, education assistance, paid time off, and paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, location, and schedule type.
