Description

USI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Aviation Maintenance and Facilities Analyst to provide expert support for Army aviation maintenance operations and facility management at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Novosel, AL. This position focuses on the integration and sustainment of maintenance personnel, equipment, supplies, and facilities for rotary wing, fixed wing, and unmanned aircraft systems.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing aviation maintenance operations and facilities, supporting facility design standards, and guiding modernization efforts aligned with Army aviation training and sustainment priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and analyze aviation maintenance activities related to personnel, supply chain, equipment, and facility assets supporting Army rotary wing, fixed wing, and unmanned aerial systems.
  • Provide functional expertise in airframe-specific maintenance, phase flow management, budgeting, and logistics, including integrated logistical analysis program (ILAP) fundamentals.
  • Lead or support staffing updates and revisions to the Aviation Maintenance Facility Design Standard (CC21110).
  • Provide a detailed understanding of how Aviation Maintenance Hangar Complexes support maintenance, repair, sustainment, flight operations, aircrew and maintainer training, and aviation unit deployments/redeployments.
  • Apply knowledge of the Fixed-Wing TDA Facility Standard (CC21110) and Tactical Unmanned Air Vehicle TOE Facility Standard (CC21115) to inform facility planning and sustainment efforts.
  • Develop, present, and coordinate executive-level briefs on the Facility Investment Plan (FIP) and Programmed and Funded Aviation Facilities within the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP).
  • Assess and recommend courses of action addressing maintenance, logistics, and facility impacts related to identified gaps in Aviation Support Equipment (ASE).
  • Support modernization initiatives, including integration of the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) institutional training while maintaining training for the enduring fleet.
  • Coordinate with the Corps of Engineers, HQDA G44, HQDA G8, and IMCOM to align facility investment and sustainment efforts.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 15 years of aviation maintenance experience specializing in managing personnel, supply, equipment, and facility assets for Army rotary, fixed wing, or unmanned aircraft systems.
    • Senior or Master Aviation Badge required.
    • Functional knowledge of airframe-specific maintenance, phase flow management, budgeting, and logistics (including ILAP).
    • At least 5 years' experience supporting updates to the Aviation Maintenance Facility Design Standard (CC21110).
    • Experience with Aviation Maintenance Hangar Complex operations supporting flight operations, maintainer training, and unit deployments.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Fixed-Wing TDA Facility Standard (CC21110) and Tactical Unmanned Air Vehicle TOE Facility Standard (CC21115).
    • Proven experience developing and delivering executive-level briefs on the Facility Investment Plan (FIP) and FYDP aviation facilities.
    • Expertise in assessing maintenance, logistics, and facility impacts on Aviation Support Equipment gaps and modernization.
    • Familiarity with coordinating facility investment plans with Corps of Engineers, HQDA G44, HQDA G8, and IMCOM.
  • Education:
    • Relevant technical certifications or military maintenance training preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to produce detailed written reports and executive briefings.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software.
