USI is seeking a highly experienced Senior Aviation Military Analyst - Integration & Synchronization / Operations Officer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support ongoing Army Aviation modernization efforts at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Novosel, AL. This position provides critical support to the Aviation Capability Development and Integration Directorate (A-CDID) and is responsible for integrating and synchronizing modernization planning across Army Capability Managers (ACMs) and the broader Army Aviation Enterprise.
This role requires an exceptional understanding of Army Aviation force design, the Army Modernization Strategy, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The ideal candidate will be a Senior or Master-rated Army Aviator with deep operational, staff, and capability development experience.

The ideal candidate will be a Senior or Master-rated Army Aviator with deep operational, staff, and capability development experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the integration and synchronization expert supporting ACM Directors in aligning capability development activities with Army-wide modernization efforts and funding strategies.
- Lead and support enterprise-level working groups and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to coordinate modernization timelines, resource priorities, and message synchronization.
- Analyze, consolidate, and present multi-source input into strategic-level messaging and briefings intended for Army Senior Leaders.
- Advise ACM and CEAD Directors on force design updates, aviation formation structure changes, and the associated impacts on platforms, personnel, and missions.
- Support and participate in the Army Aviation Enterprise Synchronization Model (A2ESM) workgroup to ensure alignment of modernization initiatives with PPBE planning cycles.
- Contribute to the development and coordination of JCIDS documentation and decision products, including:
- Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), and Capabilities-Based Assessments (CBAs)
- Operational views, strategic white papers, and funding justification materials
- Conduct aviation studies and operational test events with a focus on integration, resource alignment, and modernization readiness.
- Develop written products that meet graduate-level quality standards with minimal government revisions required.
- Operate independently and manage multiple modernization synchronization efforts under the guidance of senior-level personnel.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of Army Aviation flight and combat operations experience.
- Senior or Master Rated Army Aviator is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in capability development or combat developments.
- Proven experience supporting Army Aviation integration and synchronization across large enterprise-level organizations.
- Prior experience with Army Aviation force design, including assessment of impacts from equipment or personnel changes.
- Demonstrated success in synthesizing complex data into strategic messaging for high-level audiences, such as DA-level Senior Leaders.
- Experience leading or facilitating IPTs, working groups, and aviation studies.
- Direct leadership or authorship of a JROC-approved JCIDS document is required.
- Participation in the Army Aviation Enterprise Synchronization Model workgroups is highly desired.
- Familiarity with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) phases related to Army Aviation programs is required.
- Education:
- Completion of military or civilian staff education equivalent to CGSC/ILE or Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Skills:
- Ability to independently generate high-quality written products, including concept papers, white papers, and operational views.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with experience coordinating across multiple directorates and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
