Description
USI is seeking an accomplished Senior Aviation Military Analyst with deep expertise in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) operations to support the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) at Fort Novosel, AL. You will directly support the Aviation Capability Development and Integration Directorate (A-CDID), Army Capability Managers (ACMs), and the Concepts, Experimentation, and Analysis Directorate (CEAD), playing a pivotal role in shaping the future Army aviation capabilities.

USI is seeking an accomplished Senior Aviation Military Analyst with deep expertise in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) operations to support the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) at Fort Novosel, AL. You will directly support the Aviation Capability Development and Integration Directorate (A-CDID), Army Capability Managers (ACMs), and the Concepts, Experimentation, and Analysis Directorate (CEAD), playing a pivotal role in shaping the future Army aviation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Army aviation modernization through concept development, requirements analysis, and capability integration for both manned and unmanned systems.
- Provide detailed assessments of system vulnerabilities, EW/cyber threats, and operational survivability impacts.
- Lead and support DOTmLPF-P assessments, joint working groups, and experimentation events to evaluate current and future capability needs.
- Contribute to modeling and simulation (M&S) efforts for vertical lift and fixed-wing platforms.
- Develop high-quality decision products, including White papers, concept papers, operational views, PowerPoint briefings, information papers, and meeting summaries.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Army Aviation operations, especially tactical UAS operations and MUM-T employment.
- Assist in JCIDS documentation and technical writing to support requirements development and system acquisition.
- Participate in war games, capability demonstrations, and source selection activities.
- Manage or advise on organizational performance, ranging from small teams to organizations with 400+ personnel.
- Military or civilian equivalent training on how the Army Runs.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of Army Aviation operational experience, with substantial planning, training, and execution roles.
- Former Instructor Pilot or UAS Operator with a Master Aviator or Master Aircrew rating.
- Demonstrated experience in tactical aviation formations conducting UAS operations.
- Prior involvement in combat developments and DOTmLPF-P analysis.
- Experience conducting JCIDS technical writing, M&S for aviation platforms, and experimentation activities.
- Participation in Army-level war games (e.g., Unified Quest, Challenge) and operational deployment(s) to a theater of operations.
- Experience training aviation forces across Division, Corps, and Theater levels under high OPTEMPO conditions.
- Previous participation in source selection committees and capability development through testing and fielding phases.
- Demonstrated ability to manage organizations from 35 to 400+ personnel.
- Graduate-level writing and editing proficiency with minimal government revisions required.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required
