Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is searching for Flight Test Engineer in Niceville, FL supporting work at Eglin AFB.
The successful applicant will provide Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) flight test engineering for ground and flight test efforts in support of US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) MC-130J aircraft and other Fixed Wing programs. Tasks will include:
• Act as a Test Conductor for ground and flight tests of MC-130J and other weapon systems
• Develop test planning documentation, including Test Plans, Methods of Test, and Flight Test Cards
• Analyze data and write mission test reports
• Facilitate the safety coordination process
• Support government efforts to meet programmatic timelines and overcome resource and schedule challenges
• Support operational training and testing efforts as required

Responsibilities
Provide flight test engineering expertise for USSOCOM MC-130J and weapon system development.
• Act as a Test Conductor for MC-130 ground and flight test missions
• Lead and participate in flight test event planning, test execution, data management, data collection and data distribution
• Develop and review test objectives, plans, flight test cards, and other required documentation
• Coordinate and provide requirements for test venues, test assets and participants across the DOD
• Coordinate analysis activities with data analysts.
• Apply technical expertise to assess test range, weapon system, or technology project readiness for testing and advise senior government personnel on test readiness
• Prepare mission execution schedules, logistics coordination, and track status and risk
• Interface with other government and range organizations and development contractors
• Assist in directing test operation efforts across test and operations communities to meet programmatic timelines and overcome resource and schedule challenges, as needed
• Facilitate the safety and aircraft modification coordination process
• Aid in operations and maintenance support planning with contract maintenance teams
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science
• 5+ years in test and evaluation, aerospace duties, and related technical work
• Ability to obtain and maintain a FAA Class 3 flight physical
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience/knowledge of avionics/mission systems, munitions systems, and/or comm/radar systems
• Working knowledge of Air Force T&E policies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
• Active Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience working with or within the 96 Test Wing at Eglin AFB, FL
• Active Top-Secret clearance
• Test Pilot School Graduate
• Master of Science degree in engineering
• 7+ years in test and evaluation, aerospace duties, and related technical work
• Experience preparing flight test documents, including Test Plans, Methods of Test, and Flight Test Cards
• Experience serving as a Flight Test Conductor and performing on-aircraft operations
• Experience in flight operations, test operations, SOF, Air Dominance, terrain following, radio frequency countermeasures, or ISR
Instrumentation, data management, and data analysis experience
