One of our clients is seeking a Financial Analyst / Subject Matter Expert (SME) which is remote.

Position Summary:
Senior associates are required to possess 8 or more years of progressively responsible experience in performing and participating in engagements, demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks, and increasing responsibility in design, implementation, and management of projects. Senior associates’ interface with the client on a day-to-day basis and support the completion of project specific tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. They also support presentations and client meetings.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst/SME, you will:
• Provide subject matter expertise in federal financial management and reporting.
• Support the AOC in implementing and interpreting SFFAS standards (specifically SFFAS 54 and 59), and ensuring compliance with the Treasury Financial Manual (TFM) and OMB Circular A-136.
• Deliver analysis and recommendations on complex financial reporting issues and support enhancements to footnote disclosures and layout design.
• Attend external regulatory and policy meetings (e.g., FASAB, IRC, ITWG, FMLOB) and provide internal summaries of relevant developments.
• Propose innovative visual and content improvements for financial statement footnotes using charts, callouts, and visual cues while aligning with internal branding/style guidelines.
• Draft and revise internal accounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Develop presentation materials and assist with ad hoc accounting and financial analysis as required.
• Contribute to the AOC’s goal of earning the Certificate of Excellence in Accountability Reporting (CEAR).
LCAT Requirement (Experience & Must have Qualifications):
• A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, with project leadership experience in accounting and federal reporting environments.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Public Administration).
Must have Indepth knowledge with federal financial reporting standards and policies, including:
• SFFAS 54 (Leases)
• SFFAS 59 (Governmental Land)
• OMB Circular A-136
• Treasury Financial Manual (TFM)
