MTSI is seeking an experienced Information Systems Technology Engineer to support a digital transformation initiative with our AFRL customer at Wright-Patterson AFB. You will be responsible for assisting in the overall design and implementation of a complex multi-level security, multi-domain environment. You will need to map standards for various system and server roles to be used across the multiple domains and then implement those standards independently. You will assist with the selection of third-party tools for functions such as patching, backups, Anti-Virus, logging, and scanning etc and then install, configure and implement those tools and train others to operate them. Additionally, you will support application setup and administration, troubleshooting, security administration, access control, and integration between systems. This role will be performed in our customer's facility at WPAFB. Individuals best suited for this role must be able to work autonomously and possess the ability to find and solve complex problems as well as assist others with solving IT problems they are facing. They should also enjoy problem solving and be able to cope with sudden changes in taskings. Ideally this candidate would possess a wide range of experience with the installation, configuration, and administration of both cloud native and on-premise systems.

Responsibilities

Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:

• Will be responsible for the continued updates to the design and configuration of a unique complex IT System.

• Will be responsible for the design of standards, installation, and implementation of specialized equipment of server roles across multiple domains.

• Will be responsible for hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.

• Advanced Configuration of and maintenance on Windows Active Directory.

• Configure Cisco and Dell managed switches.

• Oversee the patching and updating of Windows Systems with enterprise tools.

• Work with leadership & teammates to develop and/or maintain systems documentation in support of system builds, application installs & other operations procedures.

• Assist with security audits & work with staff to remediate any & all security findings with supported systems & applications.

• Configure & monitor backups in accordance with applicable regulations, policies & guidance.

• Work with cross-functional IT Teams to ensure effective execution of services.

• Provide tiered support for applications and services both cloud and on premise.

• Act as systems administrator for applications and services.

• Provide verification for pre-install tasking like scoping, sizing, planning, networking, etc. for potential new applications and services.

• Lead integration efforts between applications and services (APIs, Data File Transfer, etc.).

• Develop application/service training, as needed, for users.

• Maintain documentation for support, usage, and compliance for applications/services.

Required Qualifications:

• Ten years of experience, four-five of which should be above the tier 2 (In-Depth Tech Support) level. Experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Information Assurance/Cyber Security.

• Must have at least an active Secret clearance.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience administrating DoD networks.

• Must have a DoD IAT Level II - DoD 8140 (Formally 8570) certifications (i.e., Security+), CISSP or CASP+ preferred.

• Must have advanced experience with configuring Windows Active Directory, Group Policies and DISA STIG's.

• Must have experience administrating a Secret or higher classification networks.

• Must have experience with planning, implementing, administering, and securing network infrastructure including network security appliances, routers, managed switches, servers, workstations, peripherals, cabling, and other equipment.

• Must have experience with TCP/IP protocols and advanced IT networking concepts.

• Must have experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Solaris, Cisco IOS, DNS, VMWare, Disk SAN, security assessment tools and network hardware and media (blade-servers, fiber- channel, and network cabling).

• Must have experience implementing, upgrading, and administering Windows servers, including SQL Server.

Desired Qualifications:

• TS clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.

• Experience with network monitoring and log aggregation tools desired.

• Experience with Nutanix AHV desired.

• Experience with RHEL 8 in a Windows domain desired.

• Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops desired.
