Job Description:
The position supports NSWCPD Code 541 which is the Program lead and In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for the fielding and technical support of navigation data systems including, but not limited to NCDS, NDDS, SABDS and ECDIS-N/NECDIS on US Navy ships. The position will support required technical refresh of hardware and software, along with other technical advancements to these systems.
Required Skills and/or Experience:
Ten (10) years program/project management experience to include contract/task order management, budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, planning, and estimating. Experience managing Government contracts and/or task orders of a similar nature, facilitating technical and project teams for ship system development, delivery, and maintenance/modernization. Five (5) years of experience of experience in management of software and/or engineering projects for the maintenance, testing, product improvement, and configuration control of Navigation Systems and H&ME-monitoring-system- related equipment. Working knowledge of the Naval Sea System Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center and Fleet organizations is desired.
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor Degree from a nationally accredited college or university.
In lieu of the education requirement, individuals should have fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the program management and program oversight of naval Navigation Systems, and HM&E systems or other technical equipment, systems or programs for the U.S. Navy.
