M1 Support Services is looking for an Aircraft Technician II Electronic Warfare Back shop
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Conducts daily back shop Electronic Warfare back shop operations.
Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft electronic warfare and electrical systems.
Repairs, rebuilds and test electronic warfare systems and equipment. Extensive knowledge of all associated electronic warfare systems and test stations.
Reads and interprets manufacturers and aircraft’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Receives technical guidance from managers, supervisors, leads, and higher-level technicians as required.
May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications required by AFI as directed by management.
Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required.
May be required to monitor and lead teams to perform more complex aircraft inspections and repairs.
May be required to aid writing/initiating engineering technical assistance requests.
Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 6 years performing as an Electronic Warfare Back shop technician on USAF or sister service fighter aircraft including 2 years’ experience with RAMPOD and one or more of the following: AN/ALQ-131, AN/ALQ-184 or AN/ALQ-188 electronic warfare pods / test stations.
Working knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required.
All Electronic Warfare personnel must be able to pass a color vision test.
High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable
Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions in the same language.
Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements.
Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms).
Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash.
Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (or higher, if required).
Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license.
May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract.
Working Conditions:
Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.
If controlled movement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test.
Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
