Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a full-time Network Architect located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This position is responsible for acting as the prime contract liaison to the government mission partner, operational leadership, and subcontractors for configuring, installing, and maintaining mission networks. Additionally, this role will involve supporting and optimizing the use of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Responsibilities:
Network Architecture:
• Manage and configure cloud infrastructure design in a networking capacity.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of TCP/IP, spanning-tree architecture, subnetting architecture, routing protocols and routing system architecture and design, access control lists, wireless, VPN architecture, network access control architecture, and firewall architecture.
• Work in a multi-vendor environment with the ability to transfer network configurations and concepts from one vendor to another; desired vendor experience includes Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Perform extensive configuration and system design with OSPF, BGP, port-channels, firewalls, network fabrics, and DMVPN.
• Utilize network tools including but not limited to: Ansible, Wireshark, Network Management Systems, network configuration management, sFlow/NetFlow, IPAM, and SDN.
• Operate Linux environments.
• Use version control systems, with Git familiarity being a plus.
• Effectively communicate complex network solutions to both technical and non-technical employees.
• Demonstrate self-starter qualities with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
Atlassian Tools Support:
• Configure and customize Jira and Confluence to meet the needs of various government projects and teams.
• Develop, implement, and maintain workflows, dashboards, and reporting in Jira.
• Create and maintain documentation and Confluence spaces to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Provide training and support to end-users to ensure the effective use of Jira and Confluence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Jira and Confluence.
Qualifications:
Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in the field.
• 5+ years of experience working with Atlassian products, particularly Jira and Confluence.
Skills:
• Experience with cloud infrastructure design in a networking capacity.
• Knowledge of and experience in TCP/IP, spanning-tree architecture, subnetting architecture, routing protocols, access control lists, wireless, VPN, network access control, and firewall architecture.
• Multi-vendor environment experience, especially with Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Extensive experience in configuration and system design with OSPF, BGP, port-channels, firewalls, network fabrics, and DMVPN.
• Familiarity with network tools such as Ansible, Wireshark, Network Management Systems, network configuration management, sFlow/NetFlow, IPAM, and SDN.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Ability to communicate complex network solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated self-starter with strong personal responsibility.
• In-depth knowledge of configuring and customizing Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to provide user training and support for Atlassian products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Desired Requirements:
• Linux administration experience desired
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field or comparable experience.
Certifications Requirements:
• Desired Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP-ENT, or similar.
Clearance Requirements:
• Must hold an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
• Duties will require unescorted entry and work within classified SAP and SCI facilities 100% onsite at the customer's facilities.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
