- Facilitate the definition of future missile defense concepts for modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Act as a subject matter expert in future concept definition, architecture analyses, and reviewing preliminary results prior to delivery to customer
- Assess Missile Defense System (MDS) threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs and opportunities, and develop potential system mitigations and capability revolutions and evolutions at the architecture level
- Support modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts related to the above, including analysis efforts on DoD High Performance Computing (HPC)
- Develop analysis plans, run M&S to execute the analysis plan, perform analysis on the results, prepare analysis reports, and provide reviews of analysis products
- Master's Degree in STEM Field with 12+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
- Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
- Extensive experience in the modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures
- Deep understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts
Desired Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M&S of MDS architectures
- Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving both directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future concepts
- Ability to develop and use MDS architecture simulations; knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python is a plus, including HPC experience and/or MBSE experience
- Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities
- Ability to perform technology assessment & analysis and provide insight on the utility of potentially useful technologies
- Experience with multidisciplinary analysis and optimization environments, including analysis of diverse physical phenomena
- Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
- Proven ability to coauthor numerous reports and provide significant contributions to MDS studies and responses to Congress
- Experience with Cyber gaps, mitigations, and future Cyber Architecture development
- Experience serving as a key advisor and collaborating on products that may go outside the Agency, such as DoD, Services, Combatant Commands, industry experts, etc.
