The primary function of this position is to provide direct systems engineering, test planning advice and programmatic support to the Multi-Service Advanced Capabilities Hypersonic Test Bed (MACH-TB) Program Manager located at NSWC Crane in Crane, IN. Position requires understanding stakeholder weapon system program plans and capability development milestones, program road-maps, and integrated test plan development. This position will also entail responsibilities as the MTSI site lead for the employees located at NSWC Crane.

Role and Responsibilities*
- Manage Systems Engineering efforts in planning the evolution of the MACH-TB architecture and development of the MACH-TB strategic vision and road-maps
- Manage efforts across multiple sub-teams in the areas of: Systems Engineering, Flight Test Planning and Execution, and Pre/Post-Mission Analysis
- Manage the planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution of MACH-TB flight test events
- Coordinate closely with the MACH-TB program manager for the assignment and execution of required activities in support of MACH-TB activities across the MACH-TB contractor staff.
- Develop systems engineering documentation as needed to support the MACH-TB flight test team and the Test Matrix (to capture required flight test events, test objectives, evaluation criteria, key performance parameters, milestones, launch locations, test resources, and planned timelines)
- Manage program and mission risk analysis and development of risk mitigation plans
- Identify and resolve program and stakeholder scheduling issues to meet test execution objectives
- Coordinate and support briefings, technical interchange meetings, working groups, and scheduling meetings to ensure milestone entrance and exit criteria are met
- Prepare decision-quality materials such as briefings and supporting documentation (white papers, fact sheets, status reports, progress reports, and information papers) for senior-level reviews and mission milestone decision meetings
- Serve as NSWC Crane site lead for MTSI.
Requirements
- BA required; MS preferred
- 10+ years in a staff position supporting a complex and dynamic defense program
- 8+ years of experience supporting missile systems and flight test execution activities
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition/systems engineering processes and technical knowledge of missile systems, system architectures, threats, and subsystems
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent people, organizational, management, computer, and leadership skills
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and support tasks in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
- Proficiency in written and oral communication skills to independently develop technical white papers, briefings, etc., as required by the customer to communicate complex technical subjects
- Experience leading successful teams
- SECRET Clearance required.
