Intelligent Waves is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven DevOps Engineer to support our mission critical work in support of our government customer at Reston, VA and Ft. Belvoir. In this role, you'll tackle challenges by delivering complete, end-to-end solutions in a dynamic and agile environment. If you're eager to go beyond writing code and contribute to building impactful systems that truly make a difference, we want you on our team. We're looking for a developer with the expertise to take software and systems from concept to production-ready.

Travel: None
Location: Onsite in Reston, VA and Ft. Belvoir. Will work as part of an overall team to provide needed coverage and support.

As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges.
As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Intelligent Waves you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you'll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you'll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms. Work with us to use cloud platform technology for good.

Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience building and supporting DevOps tools and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- 3+ years of experience with containerization, building images and orchestrating deployments in Kubernetes
- 2+ years of experience managing tools deployed with Helm using ArgoCD or Flux, including writing custom Helm charts, and with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Experience developing custom applications and supporting them in a production environment
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as CI/CD
- Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions
- Knowledge of container security technologies and evaluating and mitigating or resolving vulnerability findings
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire date
Desired
- Experience developing in Java or Python
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana or ElasticSearch, Kibana, and FluentD
- Experience with the design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS or Azure
- Experience using or migrating CI/CD pipeline solutions or tools, including Jenkins, Git, or TeamCity
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
- Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby, and leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
- Knowledge of cloud and virtualization-based technologies, including Docker, Azure, AWS, or VMware
- Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation
- Knowledge of foundational system administration principles
- Kubernetes Certification
