GENERAL DUTIES:

CLEARANCE:
- Experimentation Program Management: Coordinate with USSOCOM on the full lifecycle of SOCNORTH's experimentation efforts, including planning, soliciting and evaluating proposed solutions, preparing for and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and submitting results to stakeholders. Support collaborative experimentation with other TSOCs, headquarters, and agencies.
- Force Requirements & Capability Development: Conduct requirements analysis for SOCNORTH's force structure, capability, and capacity needs. Coordinate with USNORTHCOM and USSOCOM to ensure these inputs support SOCNORTH's Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions and long-term planning.
- Strategic Planning Support: Contribute to the development of strategic documents such as Theater Strategies, Theater Campaign Plans (TCPs), Theater Posture Plans (TPPs), Commander's Estimates, and Mission Analyses. Ensure accuracy, quality control, and alignment with USNORTHCOM and SOCNORTH objectives.
- Staff Coordination and Engagement: Attend virtual and in-person staff planning events, including teleconferences and office visits with USNORTHCOM and other key stakeholders, to ensure integration of SOCNORTH equities into strategic planning efforts.
- Policy and Guidance Review: Analyze national-level documents such as the Guidance for Employment of the Force (GEF), National Security Strategy (NSS), National Defense Strategy (NDS), and National Military Strategy (NMS). Use findings to shape strategy, capability development, and experimentation planning.
- Task Management Support: Address strategic and experimentation-related taskings using the Tasker Management System (TMS), ensuring timely and coordinated responses across SOCNORTH staff functions.
- Gap Analysis and Mitigation Planning: Identify mission-critical gaps and capability shortfalls. Support development of mitigation strategies and requirements documents to address these gaps and support long-term readiness.
- Cross-TSOC Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination with other Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) to ensure information sharing, synchronization of experimentation, and integration of capability development efforts.
- Process Improvement: Conduct internal reviews of SOCNORTH processes to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and enhance strategic planning and experimentation workflows.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience within Special Operations units or Special Operations staffs conducting military operational planning in support of real-world operations, exercises, and investments.
