GENERAL DUTIES:

CLEARANCE:
- Theater-Level Strategic Planning Support: Contribute to the development of Theater Strategies, TCPs, TPPs, and related products, such as Commander's Estimates and Mission Analyses. Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with strategic guidance.
- Coordination and Event Participation: Attend and support strategic planning events including virtual teleconferences (VTCs), coordination meetings, and in-person visits across USNORTHCOM-based organizations. Facilitate alignment of SOCNORTH planning efforts with higher headquarters strategies.
- Policy Guidance Review and Application: Analyze and interpret strategic documents such as the Guidance for Employment of the Force (GEF), National Security Strategy (NSS), National Defense Strategy (NDS), and National Military Strategy (NMS) to inform SOCNORTH planning and identify mission-relevant references.
- Task Management System (TMS) Engagement: Act on externally assigned taskings related to USNORTHCOM strategy and planning via the Tasker Management System (TMS), ensuring timely and accurate completion in support of SOCNORTH staff operations.
- Requirements and Capability Analysis: Coordinate staff activities to identify requirements and conduct gap analyses. Develop mitigation strategies for unmet Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) requirements and support planning for future capabilities and activities.
- TSC and Posture Planning Support: Assist with planning and coordination related to TSC activities and Theater Posture (forces, footprint, agreements). Collaborate with USNORTHCOM, USSOCOM, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive planning support.
- TSOC Coordination: Facilitate information sharing and cross-TSOC coordination to synchronize TSC-related efforts with other Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs).
- Internal Process Review: Regularly review internal SOCNORTH processes to identify planning inefficiencies, potential challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience within Special Operations units or Special Operations staffs conducting military operational planning in support of real-world operations, exercises, and investments.
