Zachary Piper Solutions is seekinga Principal Cloud Systems Engineer to support a library modernization program for National Geospatial Agency in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The team is seeking a skilled engineer to build and maintain the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release, deployment, and upgrade processes for the critical infrastructure.
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI
Location: Rancho Bernardo, CA (100% on-site)

Responsibilities of the Cloud System Engineer:
· Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions to enhance the cloud environment's availability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency
· Build and maintain tooling and infrastructure
· Provide consultation to application and infrastructure teams specific to automated build, test and release automation
· Participate in the design and architecture discussions while provisioning environments using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible
· Automate repetitive tasks to drive consistency and repeatability
· Responsible for incident response and root-cause analysis

Qualifications of the Cloud System Engineer:
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
- 8+ years of experience supporting cloud infrastructures (AWS/Azure) and systems engineering
- IAT II certification or ability to obtain within 3 months (Sec+, CYSA+, etc.)
- Experience with scripting languages and operating systems software (e.g., Powershell, Bash)
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform or equivalent configuration management tools
Compensation of the Cloud System Engineer:
- Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000 - $200,000 **based on experience level**
