Zachary Piper Solutions is seekinga Network Security Engineer to support a network modernization project for U.S. Army at Ft. Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ. The team is seeking a skilled engineer to support operations focused on providing the Global Cyber Center (GCC) updates to facilitate command and control of the AGUN network.
Clearance: Secret clearance

Responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer:
· Perform routine policy and configuration updates on the AGUN network, including standard remediation tasks and workflows that are pre-approved and considered part of normal operations.
· Support 24x7 operations and operate and maintain secure network solutions in an enterprise environment
· Manage, triage, track, and update workflows and service tickets using both JIRA Service Desk and GCC ServiceNow platforms
· Gather and analyze data to uncover and implement network optimization strategies that align with capacity and performance requirements
· Partner with key stakeholders and technical experts to perform legacy environment discovery, assessing current capabilities, configurations, and requirements to provide tier III support for the Army global network

Qualifications of the Network Security Engineer:
- Active Secret Clearance
- 8+ years of network administration and configuration experience
- IAT II or IAT III certification (Sec+, CYSA+, etc.)
- CCNA/CCNP highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Palo Alto NGFW
- Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Experience supporting two or more of the following network vendors: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, AppGate
- Demonstrated experience with networking concepts and protocols; LAN, WAN, BGPM TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Routing (L2/L3)
- Experience with one or more of the following network management tools; Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, or Junos Space
- Experience with the following protocols; SFTP SSH, SCP, SNMP, NTP
Compensation of the Network Security Engineer:
- Total compensation based on experience level - $130,000 - $150,000+ **based on experience level**
