Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking TS/SCI cleared Network Engineers for our travel team supporting government network infrastructures across the country. The Network Engineer will support the configuration and deployment of LAN gear at government and contractor sites, supporting the establishment of connectivity to the Azure air-gapped cloud environments. Integration of the LAN equipment to the WAN is the primary responsibility where troubleshooting and coordination with remote support is required.
This position requires travel to sites across the continental US. When not traveling, all work is to be performed in the Microsoft office in Reston VA.

This position requires travel to sites across the continental US. When not traveling, all work is to be performed in the Microsoft office in Reston VA.
Required Experience:
- 4 years of experience with TCP/IP protocol configuration and use (e.g., DNS, FTP, SSH, BGP).
- 2 years of Experience deploying documented network architectures and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Functional understanding of TCP/IP network subnetting.
- 4 years of experience in Network Operations.
- Ability to execute work with precision in time sensitive outage scenarios.
- Effectively communicate status changes to impact.
- Hold active TS/SCI security clearance fully adjudicated by the designated agency.
- Special Access Required (SAR) designation.
- Ability to travel and work remotely up to 75% of the time.
Recommended/Desired:
- Experience or exposure to a hosting providers, online services, or internet service provider environment is preferred. This time must include troubleshooting routing, switching, and load balancing in a complex networking environment.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or apprenticeship degree.
- CCNA or CCNP certification.
- Independent functional experience performing packet capture analysis or running Wireshark is highly desirable.
- Experience with securing/locking down network devices.
Compensation:
- Salary is $110,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.
