We are seeking a Facility Coordinator to join our team to support the Facility Manager in helping with facility tasks and all internal customers at the corporate office in Huntsville, AL

Responsibilities

  • Interfacing with preventative maintenance vendors, which includes being familiar with our maintenance plans and making sure that all duties are performed as required.
  • Interfacing with maintenance vendors for work to be performed for special projects or repairs. Must be able to communicate all findings and or potential problems to the supervisor as well as maintain proper documentation.
  • Receive all invoices and expense reports related to facility projects, to include coding and forwarding for approval.
  • Escort all vendors when necessary.
  • Perform weekly inspections and inventory of breakrooms, copier rooms, labs, and office supplies.
  • Monthly inspections of roof, parking lot, fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire suppression systems, and all lab areas.
  • Light installation work, i.e., changing doorknobs, hanging white boards or pictures, and some furniture moving.
  • Support on-site events (scheduling vendors, overseeing installation of tents, chairs, etc.).


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Two years' experience in the facilities or property management field or related maintenance fields
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with tradesmen
  • Good at record keeping and working independently on monthly and weekly inspection tasks
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Escorting vendors
  • Light installation work, changing doorknobs, hanging white boards or pictures, and some furniture moving
  • Must be able to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Familiar with Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must have transportation for light errand duties. Reimbursable mileage between two facilities
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active SECRET security clearance
