Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Project Scheduler to join our growing team!

In this role you will provide guidance to a team of professionals and technicians on a large project, along with several smaller projects to deliver Space Force capabilities into the hands of our warfighters. Our scheduler and planners are responsible for the technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed, DoD compliance, and for on schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.

What You'll Be Doing :
  • Apply diverse and intensive proficiency in the use of technical theories, practices, and company policies
  • Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, engaged in significantly diverse assignments, within a collaborative/team setting across all levels of the organization
  • Accountable for building, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on Microsoft Project Plans adding value with experience and skills, challenging where required and being able to liaise and report to Project Managers and Management
  • Support project teams with an understanding of the activities across more than one workstream in a program
  • Dependency Management within Program Plans to ensure Program Integration, identification of issues and suggestion of solutions
  • Ongoing Plan Consolidation and Dissection in line with agreed Planning Cycle
  • Provision of Recommendations for Key Management reports from Plans
  • Management of Plan Tracking and Progress Reporting Production and ongoing maintenance of Standard output reports
  • One to One Planning Support to assist Program Managers and Department Leads in creating and maintaining fully resourced and meaningful project plans in accordance with our customer's planning standards
  • Plan resource leveling to smooth out resource overloads, future forecasting of resourcing and the generation of cost models based on plan contents
  • Work frequently with Microsoft Project 2007 (10 & 13) and Microsoft Office 2013 suite of products
  • Work frequently with Jira
  • Performs other responsibilities in support of the program management office and other tasking as assigned


Required Clearance:
  • Candidate must possess an active Secret security clearance


What Require Skills You'll Bring :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field AND
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project planning, practices, and procedures
  • Proficiency in utilizing PC and various software packages typically used in planning assignments
  • Proficiency in utilizing Agile Tools such as Jira and Big Gantt
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a leadership capacity on a project
  • Must have strong stakeholder management experience.
  • Proof of vaccination is not required for this opportunity


Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $108,700.00 - $190,200.00
