Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Design Manager. The Senior Design Manager leads and coordinates the design process across multiple projects, ensuring that design outputs meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. This role involves managing internal and external design teams, reviewing technical drawings, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Managing and overseeing design processes from concept to completion.
• Ensuring designs align with project requirements, sustainability goals, and client expectations.
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate design solutions.
• Reviewing and approving design deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Implementing best practices in smart and sustainable city design.
• Providing leadership and mentorship to design teams.
• Collaborating with project managers to ensure timely and cost-effective design execution.
• Ensuring adherence to local regulations, codes, and environmental considerations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Excellent conceptual and design skills, with emphasis on aesthetics
• Fluent in writing and speaking English, spoken and written
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, communicating with clarity, purpose and accuracy
• Ability to negotiate
• 15 + years experience
• Project Planning (planning & design experience required)
• International experience preferable
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent
• Strong design and management skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.
• Experience in project management of large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.

• Solid knowledge of products, materials, zoning / building codes and construction methods
• Capable of reviewing and editing a set of quality specifications
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines on budget and on time
• A keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction from project managers, directors and partners
• A team player, with a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and collaborating
