Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug web applications using JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, React, Vue)
- Develop backend services using Java Web or NodeJS frameworks
- Build and style responsive, user-centric web interfaces using CSS and/or SCSS
- Integrate and consume RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with team members to define requirements and implement efficient, maintainable code
- Participate in Agile development ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Contribute to documentation of codebases and technical processes
- Ensure developed applications are 508 compliant and meet accessibility standards
- Utilize GitLab for code management and CI/CD automation
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience developing applications using JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, React, or Vue
- Proficiency in building Java Web or NodeJS applications
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS for UI development
- Hands-on experience developing or integrating with RESTful services
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- OR - - Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- 0-3 years of experience in software development
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with building or querying relational or non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch)
- Experience developing user-facing applications with React, Vite, and Redux
- Exposure to Docker containerization
- Experience with SCSS and/or Tailwind CSS
- Understanding of real-time data streams via web sockets
- Experience working with AWS services
- Ability to generate and maintain clear technical documentation
- Agile/Scrum environment experience
- Experience ensuring 508 accessibility compliance
- Hands-on experience with GitLab version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration
Certifications (Preferred but not required)
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate
- Certified Scrum Developer (CSD)
- Security+ or equivalent
Clearance Requirement:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role.
