Noblis is seeking to hire an Adult Learning and Facilitation Consultant with ACTIVE Top Secret in Springfield, VA
The Adult Learning and Facilitation Consultant would join our growing Learning & Development (L&D) consulting team. The Adult Learning and Facilitation Consultant will be responsible for supporting clients and assisting with all aspects of adult learning and training to include, but not limited to, the support of learning requirements, designing and delivering professional development courses and seminars, evaluating and revising current curriculum, and educating faculty on how to facilitate both in-person, virtual, and hybrid courses to maximize student learning transfer.
In this role, the candidate is expected to perform work independently but will be expected to collaborate with both team members and subject matter experts (SME). Noblis is seeking a creative thinker who is detail-oriented, project focused, and has the proven expertise to make learning meaningful and applicable for students. This position is ideal for the individual who is energized by learning and seeking a career in adult education and training. Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

- Ability to apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodology in an operational environment. S/he will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, as the candidate will be leading and facilitating courses, conducting train-the-trainer sessions, facilitating learning needs assessments, creating presentations, interpreting survey results, and conducting focus groups.
- Knowledge of current models of instructional development and professional development for faculty.
- Ideate training plans to capture the "big picture" in terms of developing workshops and courses.
- Excellent consultation, organizational, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Provide subject matter expertise as it pertains to excellence in training and adult learning principles and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret with ability to obtain SCI and a CI Polygraph
- 5 or more years of experience managing the design, development, and implementation of learning solutions.
- Possesses strong understanding of adult learning theories (e.g., cognitive, experiential, constructivism), human factors, instructional design, andragogy principles, and educational technologies to design effective learning solutions that develop instructors to teach and facilitate learning solutions.
- Understands all learning modalities (classroom, virtual, hybrid) and helps instructors optimize their learning strategies for effective knowledge transfer.
- Provides mentoring, coaching, and annual assessment in support of instructor performance and certification.
- Possesses strong communications skills, extremely organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing schedules and effectively managing expectations and providing detailed reporting across stakeholder groups.
- Proficient in MS Office, Tableau, Adobe Suite, and experience with Learning Content Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard)
- Equally successful working on a team and independently.
- Bachelor's degree.
- US Citizenship is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional experience in higher education or an adult learning institution
- Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Psychology, Instructional Technology, or related field from an accredited (i.e., regional, national, or institutional) academic institution.
