Client is looking for a full-time second shift nurse.
Location: The nurse will provide onsite services at the Sunnyvale, CA site.
Hours: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm - may be asked to provide additional support on first shift to cover time off for other nurses
Description of Nurse 3 Duties:
* Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.
* Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety. Note: most of these services are performed offsite by an outside clinic, but the nurse will be responsible for scheduling, obtaining and reviewing all results from the clinic.
* Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.
* Dispense OTC Medications.
* Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.
Required Basic Qualifications:
* At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Associate of Science in Nursing
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation
* Strong presentation skills
* Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects
* Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
* Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
* Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations
Required certifications:
* CPR/BLS
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
* 2+ years in occupational health
Preferred Certifications:
* Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
* Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)
* Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
