Job Summary:

B&A is looking for a PeopleSoft HCM Developer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a skilled PeopleSoft HCM Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions within the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. The successful candidate will have deep technical expertise in PeopleTools and PeopleCode, with hands-on experience in developing customizations, interfaces, reports, and workflow automation. This role involves working closely with functional HR and payroll teams to support business requirements, system upgrades, and application enhancements.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop technical solutions within PeopleSoft HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, Absence Management, and Recruiting.
  • Customize and enhance PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools, including Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and BI Publisher.
  • Build and maintain interfaces between PeopleSoft and third-party systems using file-based, API, and web service integrations.
  • Develop and optimize reports using SQR, PS Query, and BI Publisher.
  • Perform unit testing, support system integration testing (SIT), and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Participate in system upgrades, patch management, and bundle application.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, performance problems, and data inconsistencies.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and organizational policies.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for all developed solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional analysts and business users to gather requirements and provide technical expertise during project planning and execution.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft development experience in HCM environments.

Required Skills:
  • Strong proficiency with PeopleTools (v8.5x+), PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, SQR, and Integration Broker.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and Fluid UI.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and performance tuning.
  • Experience developing and supporting interfaces with third-party vendors and internal systems.
  • Familiarity with the PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) process.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll, Time & Labor, or Absence Management.
  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud or migration from PeopleSoft to cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience working in industries such as government, education, or healthcare.

Security Clearance:
  • Eligible to obtain a Public Trust.
